No Roof Charity is named in honor of the late Jospeh David Anderson. When Joseph was a child he and his parents were speaking about creating an organization that could help people and animals. During the discussion Jospeh mentioned that he didn't want the charity to have a lot of limitations. He wanted it to be something that could support people in different ways. That was when Jospeh created the name "No Roof" as a way to say that there are so many ways that a person can do good. There is literally No Limit (No Roof) to the good people can do. Fast forward several years later to 2021 when the world lost Joseph. He passed away unexpectedly early in the Summer of 2021. Joseph D. Anderson was 19 years old and the only child of Christopher and Laura Anderson.
Jospeh David Anderson graduated from Cuyahoga Falls High School Class of 2020. Jospeh graduated with many honors including an Academic Honors Diploma, Presidential Award for Educational Excellence (multiple years), National Society of High School Scholars and Summa Cum Laude. He also enjoyed being in the school band, and enjoyed martial arts, writing, designing and building. Joseph always impressed his teachers with his creative thinking and problem solving skills. He was one of a few students to earn 5 high school credits while still in middle school. Joseph was studying engineering at the University of Akron, Williams Honors College.
No Roof Charity provides support and/or leadership for programs, initiatives and communities that encourage creativity, the arts, mental health and support for nature and animals.
